Graduation Practice - MANDATORY

Tuesday, June 4th & Wednesday, June 5th @ 10am-12pm - Football Field

Attendance is mandatory. If a student is unable to attend both practices, please contact Mrs. Bedard in the Main Office prior to the 1st practice.

Caps, gowns and school records will be distributed at practice. There is no charge for the cap & gown. However, if a student owes an obligation to the school such as a senior survey, Chromebook, charger, textbooks, athletic uniform, etc. they will not receive their cap and gown until the obligation is fulfilled. Students will be advised by the 1st practice if they have any such obligations.

We’ve started collecting school issued Chromebooks and chargers for those seniors who have their own devices. For those still using their school devices, they are welcome to hang onto the device until classes, AP exams, and senior projects are completed. However, all school issued equipment must be returned, charged and in good working order before the 1st graduation practice.

~ Senior Events & Activities ~

AP EXAMS - Monday, May 6th through Friday, May 17th

Students will take the majority of their exams at the Millis Public Library.  A few exams will be given at Millis High School. Please reach out to your student’s AP teachers with any questions.

This is the last day of senior classes. Class Advisors, Mr. Bigelow and Mr. Carter, are planning some fun activities to celebrate the students’ last day at MHS before senior projects begin. This is a 1/2 day, with a 10:55am dismissal. The day will culminate with a final class walk through the halls of CFB/MMS/MHS before everyone heads off to get ready for prom.

JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM - Friday, May 17th - 6:00-10:00pm

The Prom will be held at the Grandview in Mendon. Please reach out to your Class Officers or Class Advisors, Mr. Bigelow & Mr. Carter, or to the Junior Class Advisor, Mrs. Hayden, with any Prom related questions.

SENIOR PROJECT PRESENTATIONS - Monday, May 20th through Friday, May 24th

All presentations will be held in the Roche Bros. Community Room at the Millis Public Library and are open to the public. We are hoping to capture presentations on
video for families and friends to view. We will share information on how/where to view the videos as it becomes available.

SENIOR EVENTS - Tuesday, May 28th through Friday, May 31st

All senior activities are decided upon and run by the Senior class. An activity schedule will be sent to the students detailing the events, dates and times in the upcoming weeks.  Please reach out to Mr. Bigelow or Mr. Carter, with questions.

This year’s Rolling Rally will be on Friday, May 31. It will start at 6pm.  Participation in the Rolling Rally itself is for members of the MHS Class of 2024 and their immediate families.  Students will be escorted around town, in style, by the Millis police and fire departments. Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to be chauffeurs so students can give full attention to the many fans lined along the parade route. More details/procotols will be shared as we get closer to the event.  The fire department will be setting up a bonfire at the school to be lit following the parade.

SENIOR COOKOUT - Tuesday, June 4th at 12:30pm - Football field

A senior cookout will be held after graduation practice on the football field.

CLASS DAY - Wednesday, June 5th at 12:30pm - Football field

We will host a Class Day for our seniors following graduation practice. This will be an informal ceremony allowing our faculty and staff to recognize their achievements over the years. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the auditorium. Families are welcome to attend, but should bring their own chairs/blankets.

SENIOR BANQUET - Wednesday, June 5th - 5:00-9:00pm

A Senior Class Banquet will be held at The Primavera to celebrate their last night of being high school students together. Dinner will be served at 6pm. Entertainment will be provided by a hypnotist at 7pm.

~ Other Important Info ~

Please visit Yearbookordercenter.com to order your yearbook. Use Millis code 5291. Orders must be in by June 7th. Reach out to Mrs. Graham if you have any questions.

Student Health & Permanent Records

With the exception of their Official Transcript, all Student Records (this includes Health records as well as Permanent Records) will be signed for and given to the seniors at graduation practice. These records may contain immunizations and other important information required by many colleges so please keep these records in a safe place. Millis High School does NOT keep copies of these records, or of your diploma. Giving these records to you will serve as their “destruction.” The only record we keep on file is their Official Transcript.

Student Obligations

Students who owe an obligation to the school such as a senior survey, Chromebook, charger, textbooks, athletic uniform, etc. will not receive their cap and gown until the obligation is fulfilled. Students will be advised by the 1st practice if they have any such obligations.

Senior School Emails - Disabled After Graduation

Senior school emails will be disabled during the summer. Seniors will need to create a personal email account and transfer whatever info they want (including changing over any newsletters & notifications you wish to keep) to that new email address. This is fairly simple if it is a Gmail account. To create a new account, click here: https://takeout.google.com/transfer
This is useful if you don’t want to co-mingle school stuff with another personal account. For basic Google account stuff you may need you can click here: https://myaccount.google.com/If more help is needed you can click here for support: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/21289
Please do this soon as there will not be a reminder before emails are disabled.

Parent Volunteers Wanted

As we plan for the events celebrating our seniors, we’re looking for parent volunteers that would be willing to help with planning, fundraising, and assisting at events. Specifically, we’re looking for help in setting up some food stations for our seniors following the rolling rally. If you are interested please contact Class of 2024 advisors Mr. Bigelow [email protected],  or Mr. Carter, [email protected]

Thank you!
