Millis, MA Millis High School is once again proving to be a standout institution on both the state and national stage, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and community values. U.S. News & World Report recently released its Best High Schools rankings, with Millis High School placing in the top 15% with a ranking of #45 at the highly competitive state level—among 352 Massachusetts high schools included in the rankings.
Millis High School not only performed well statewide, but also earned a spot in the top 10% nationally, ranking #1,041 out of 17,901 public high schools identified across the country. The school's rankings in the College Readiness Index and College Curriculum Breadth Index were among some of the highest in the state, coming in at #24 and #21, respectively. Other categories contributing to the rankings included state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, and graduation rate.
Boston Magazine also released their 2025 rankings for Top Public High Schools in Greater Boston. Millis was ranked in the top 10 for both the categories of Best Bang for Your Buck and Average Class Size. Millis High School’s overall rank was #46.
Being named one of America’s Best High Schools is an honor that Millis High School is extremely proud of. This recognition reflects the dedication of our students and staff, as well as the strong academic foundation built at Millis Middle School and Clyde Brown Elementary.
