MHS CLUBS 2021-22
Amnesty
Advisor: Mr Fallon
Inspiring people against injustice to bring the world closer to human rights & dignity enjoyed by all. Amnesty meets 2nd lunch J-Days, Room 121.
Art Club
Advisor: Mrs Haggerty
Art Club gives students the opportunity to meet in a more relaxed and informal setting; to discuss and work on art, to give back and create fellowship with other artists. Art Club meets first lunch E days and Wednesdays after school 2:30-3:30.
Chem Club
Advisor: Ms Copice
The American Chemical Society Chem Club provides fun, authentic, hands-on opportunities to experience chemistry beyond the classroom. Chem Club meets J day both lunches.
Chess Club
Advisor: Mr Saegh
The Chess Club is an outlet for everything chess, including puzzles, lessons, and casual challenges and is open to all high schoolers. Chess Club meets every Wednesday after school, 2:30-3:30 in room 119.
Common Ground
Advisor: Mrs Mannion
Supporting our friends and family in the LGBTQ+ community. Common Ground meets 1st and 2nd lunch B days & zoom weekly.
Fish are Friends
Advisor: Ms Cheney
Help raise the trout in Ms. Cheney's room. Starts in January. Students sign up for feeding times. They are before school, during study hall, during lunch or after school
Happiness Club
Advisor: Ms McCarthy
Focuses on promoting happiness both within yourself and within the school. Happiness Club meets E Days during both lunches and after school E Days 2:30-3:30. Room 114.
LEOS
Advisor: Mr Caulfield
The junior Lions, a club dedicated to community service. LEOS meet A Day both lunches.
Library Council
Advisor: Mrs Divver
Helps create Library programs, plans, projects and presence! Plan an Open Mic! Scary Story Day! Harry potter event!
Library Council meets F Days, First lunch, Room 110.
Mohawk Council
Advisor: Mr Fallon
Students dedicated to learning about the Mohawks, past and present, in an effort to help the school and town of Millis. Mohawk Council meets both lunches on I-days.
Newspaper
Advisors: Mr Carter and Mrs Divver
Writes, edits, publishes the MHS newspaper online and print.
Newspaper meets D Days, BOTH LUNCHES, Room 110.
Peer Leaders
Advisors: Mr Alconada and Mrs Dunn
Students working to better the entire school community through active leadership and service. Peer Leaders meet G Day during both lunches. 1st lunch room 115 and 2nd lunch room 108.
Pop Culture Club

Are you a fan of books, comics, music, anime or anything along this line? Then the Pop Culture club may be for you! Pop Culture Club meets after school Tuesdays 2:30-3:30 room 224
SADD
Advisor: Mr Ingraham
Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) is a Millis High School club that aims to promote awareness about issues teenagers are currently facing in today’s world. SADD meets both lunches on C Day.
SMASH Bros.
Advisors: Mr Neville and Mr Howden
Each week, students get together to play Smash Bros. Ultimate, a competitive fighting game on the Nintendo Switch, and play in a tournament. Skilled and new players are both welcome! SMASH Bros. meets Tues. after school. Rm 102
Terpsichore
Advisor: Ms Copice
The MS/HS Dance Club has a goal of bringing dance to everyone. Terpsichore meets E Day during both lunches in room 109 and after school/ evenings.

Student Council

STUCO consists of all the elected officers for each grade. The Council hosts monthly half-day assemblies, hosts spirit week and the pep rally, and promotes community service opportunities for all students. Student Council meets Tuesday mornings 7:40am in room 122.
